I sat and listened to an eighty year old minister talk about the impact Bono makes. It got me thinking about how the Dixie Chicks are really vocal against the war even if it’s not popular in their market. Angelina Jolie is doing so much for children.

Let’s create a list of celebrities who use star power to make the world a better place.
I definitely applaud those who are not stars who do this work every day.

Unfortunately we live in a world that searches for princes and princesses in our media.

That being said, perhaps we should recognize those who use their “star power” for the good.

Maybe it will inspire us to do the same.
I agree that the unsung heros do the most. Still they often don’t get our attention–maybe there is another question in that.

I do have respect for those who use their power for good. They have our attention and their work educates us. I am not saying they do more.
