Xbox 360 overheats after the red ring death repair
I recently followed a repair guide on the internet to get rid of the 3 flashing circles. It involved screws to get rid of the x-clamps. After putting it back togther the 3 rings are gone and no theres only two, which i belive to mean overheating. The 2 lights go on right afer i turn it on, so i assume its not actully overheating. Any other ideas of why this error message would show up, maybe it cant read information through the glue, or maybe the glue needs to be allowed to dry longer. Thank you and please dont tell me to just send it to microsoft.
THINGS TO TRY
1.Let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your Xbox 360 console to cool enough. Don’t turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot.
2.Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. For more information about ventilation, see the “More Information” section.
3.If the two lights continue to flash red after you try steps 1 and 2, contact Xbox Customer Support. For more information about how to contact Xbox Customer Support, please visit the Xbox Support (http://www.xbox.com/support/) Web site.
Try to fix it yourself first because sometimes if you send it in for a new one they send refurbished ones that aren’t up to par.
